The JPO Pre-assignment Training Course is a 4-day online training course designed for Japanese Junior Professional Officer (JPO)s. It aims to deepen participants’ knowledge and develop their practical skills for their future careers in international organizations. The training is delivered through presentations, discussions and Q&As.
In October 2024, the Hiroshima University GPAD Office conducted the JPO Pre-assignment Training for 39 JPO candidates. The trainees learned how to prepare themselves for their new positions in international organizations. Current and former JPOs also attended some sessions, providing opportunities for the participants to interact with them and ask questions.
