Global practitioners gather in Hiroshima to shape the future of peacebuilding—FY2025 Mid-Career Course

The Program for Global Human Resource Development for Peacebuilding and Development, commissioned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan

On January 7, 2026, a diverse group of mid-career professionals with experience in peacebuilding and international development will gather in Hiroshima for the FY2025 Mid-Career Course. The in-person course will begin in Hiroshima City on January 7, 2026, followed by intensive sessions held at Hiroshima University from January 9 to 13, 2026.

Leveraging their own experience and knowledge, the course encourages these Program Associates to reflect on their career paths, strengthen leadership competencies, and prepare for greater roles in advancing peace and sustainable development.

They come from Austria, Cameroon, France, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Japan, Morocco, Nepal, and Pakistan, bringing with them a wealth of experience from government agencies, the private sector, and international organizations such as the United Nations.
